On the coast of Tenerife, Spain, where the waves gently lapped the pristine beach and the wind carried the scent of the sea, fate brought together two people who seemed destined never to meet.
She is an Argentine, a world-famous top model who, at forty, looked more impressive than others in their twenties: tall, athletic, flexible, with thick red hair falling in waves over her shoulders. Emilia had a keen sense of the market, as well as a keen eye for photography, which is why she had long since invested in cryptocurrencies. He was a 27-year-old journalist and analyst for a Danish publication specializing in economics, investment security, and crypto finance.
Before his trip to Playa de Las Americas, he had just submitted an analytical article for publication. In it, Oscar wrote that in 2026, next-generation blockchains will focus on privacy; about the decline of Bitcoin's dominance due to growing interest in high-performance next-generation blockchains and AI-based ecosystems. After publication, he took three weeks off, dreaming of simply relaxing for the first time in a long time.
They met by chance — as if someone above had written this script in advance. Emilia, entering a cafe on the waterfront, slipped on a smooth marble step. Already feeling herself falling, she suddenly found herself in someone's warm embrace — he managed to catch her, holding her firmly but gently. Emilia looked up and met his deep, slightly embarrassed gaze.
“Thank you,” she said.
“I wouldn't let you lose something so precious,” he replied, and she didn't immediately understand whether he was referring to the coffee or her.
A strange feeling of inner closeness quickly took hold of them both. They were united by their investments in environmental initiatives and several joint crypto projects. Within a few minutes, they were sitting at the same table, and within an hour, they were talking as if they had known each other for half their lives.
She shared stories from her shoots in Tokyo and Milan, and he shared anecdotes from behind the scenes at the editorial office and his dreams of changing the world for the better.
They both loved the sea and animals and believed that success only makes sense when you give something back to the world. Within a week, they were already holding hands while walking along the shore and couldn't imagine being apart.
A month later, Oscar returned to Denmark... He came back to pick up his things — Emilia was waiting for him in Spain, where they had decided to settle down.
Today, they are working on a new joint project — a charitable foundation to help rare and endangered species of fauna — and dream of creating a network on different continents.
When asked how it all began, they laugh: “We just met. The coffee was too hot, and the stairs to the cafe were very slippery.”
